Bee Removal Can Be Dangerous

bee removal florida

Honeybees, Carpenter Bees, Bumblebees and Africanized Killer bees are often spotted throughout the country, and Florida is no exception. Where most bee species are not aggressive, it is important to know that Africanized killer bees are fierce and combative. They will attack any perceived threat in large swarms; relentlessly until the threat is eliminated. If you should encounter these bees it is important you run for shelter. Africanized Honeybees will also chase their victims far longer than other bees will. Avoid seeking refuge underwater, as they will often wait until you come up for air. If you do get stung, remover the stinger immediately as it will continue to pump venom until it is removed. Be sure to seek medical treatment as soon as possible.
